Many boulders or "erratics" as they are called, were dumped in odd places by glaciers moving through the dales during the last ice age. The glaciers also left vast areas of limestone exposed to the elements, which have been eroded by the rain over the millennia, to create the beautiful limestone pavement seen in this image and around the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

All prints are made with museum grade papers and inks.
